Often times when Bostonians, or visitors, head to lunch, it is for a special occasion. Mother’s Day, a shower of some sort, graduation, or a job promotion all prompt the urge to celebrate with that mid-day weekend meal that makes everyone feel special.
Amongst the special occasion brunches that grace our city, City Brunch at The Langham Boston’s Café Fleuri is truly a meal filled with excellence. Executive Chef Mark Sapienza uses local New England flavors to make this brunch buffet a true treat. Live jazz music fills the air as diners roam around table after table of opulent choices. From the crepe bar, to the raw bar, to the sushi bar, one must enter this brunch with a plan of attack, and keep in mind how much delicious food is still in front of them.
Everyone will have a first choice they head to, after that, guests must still choose between a full array of hot dishes (from lobster mac & cheese to eggs benedict), hot and fresh Belgium waffles, a cook-to-order pasta bar, a chocolate fondue table, and endless creative and inspiring single-serving side dishes, appetizers and desserts. Oh yeah, don’t forget there is a sushi bar too!
In case you still have not had enough of brunch by this point, make sure to catch the beignet waitress who brings fresh from the fryer dough-balls sprinkled with cinnamon sugar directly to your table. This is the absolute perfect ending touch to a brunch.
A special occasion brunch at Café Fleuri’s City Brunch does not come cheap. The price is $52 for adults and $28 for children ages 5 -12. They also note that the price may change for special occasions. However, you will walk out of this brunch feeling as if you ate like a millionaire! This is not a brunch from which you will walk away feeling like you did not get your money’s worth.
