Realms of Gold by Terry Stanfill is a fiction novel that explores the topic of the origin of Camelot and the historical Arthur. The book is a blend of a present day tale of an American writer Bianca and Giovanni recreating the journey of the Vix Krater and the imagined ancient tale that also involves the origin and original journey of the Vix Krater.
Overall Realms of Gold provides some interesting perspectives on the history and myths involving the southern region Italy and the Burgundy region of France. However, the style of writing, especially the back and forth from past to present, makes it hard to get into with so much not smoothly connected, although by the end it does mostly come together. Thus, it seems more for those that are very into the history of southern Italy or mythology and even then the extra stuff in the plot make it an unsatisfying read.
