Buzz is the second book in The Game trilogy featuring HP Petterson and his sister, Rebecca, as the main characters. The book begins with both HP ends up returning to Sweden after getting caught up in the murder of a Swedish IT millionaire. He ends up actually becoming responsible and going undercover to work at the victim’s IT company, ArgosEye, which leads discoveries about the murderer as well as the Game.
The first book is somewhat necessary for background and understanding what the Game is, but it is not that great of a book due to the writing style. Buzz still has the frequent back and forth between HP and his sister’s perspectives/plot lines, but they are woven together early on and thus less confusing than the first book. What really makes Buzz better, though, is that it is not full of chat/text speak except in a few places and almost always makes sense
Overall Buzz is an exciting thriller, especially with the modern tech and buzz conspiracy aspects of ArgosEye. If only the first one was better written or translated to draw people in, as this one is good and leaves a good cliffhanger to make you want to read the final one.
