Although palate pleasing vegetarian food is certainly not hard to come by in the sprawling city that is Los Angeles, it can be tough to find great vegan food that also happens to be kosher. To find delicious food that is vegan, kosher, and Thai, well that packs a formidable punch!
Bodhi Vegetarian & Vegan, located in the heart of one the most populous Jewish neighborhoods in the city, is as convenient as it is tasty. The menu offers an array of Thai favorites, such as pad thai, curries, spring rolls, and a slew of rice dishes. Bodhi also has a number of wraps and veggie burgers for those vegetarians leery of eating anything too spicy.
Some may be turned off by the fact that Bodhi is nestled in between a laundry mat and and a slightly unsavory looking chicken restaurant, but on the inside, Bodhi is cozy with high wood ceilings and ornate stenciled wallpaper. The servers are quick to seat patrons and equally quick (without being suspect) with serving up tasty food.
The prices are reasonable, with the average being about $9.00 for a vegan curry that is accompanied by savory brown rice. For just a dollar or two extra, tofu may be substituted for soy chicken or fish, all of which is KOSHER!
Although Bodhi Vegetarian offers take out and delivery, their delivery can be on the slow side, for that reason it's best to dine in or pick up.
For a yummy and accessible dinner that is certfiably kosher and vegan, head over to Bodhi Vegetarian & Vegan Kitchen, located at 9303 W. Pico Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90035.
