Studio Synopsis: Cameron Diaz leads a knockout cast in this irreverent comedy about love, lust and the laws of karma. New York attorney Carly Whitten (Diaz) is nobody’s fool. So when she accidentally discovers that her too-good-to-be-true boyfriend Mark (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) is married, she’s less than thrilled. Not only that, she and Mark’s wife Kate (Leslie Mann), learn about yet another mistress (Kate Upton)! Before long, however, the betrayed beauties have become unlikely pals who’ve decided to teach their three-timing man a lesson. The more the trio learns about Mark, the worse he seems, and the more fun they have without him!

Built on the premise that all three leads will be paid to distract rather than act, "The Other Woman;" at its core, hides behind its beauties with middling gags and easily assumed antics. And while the film’s trailer alone should serve as an immediate warning of the fate that awaits both its undeserving cast and those fans that blindly follow them, no one may have been able to predict that not even the beauty of Diaz, the braininess of Mann, or the bod of Upton could overcome the sheer blandness that weighs heavy on this film.

Outrageous acts of stupidity and slapstick shtick seem to be the go-to du jour with films like this, and with smart and snappy writing it typically marries nicely. If you don’t get that happy marriage though, attentions start to wander and "The Other Woman" sadly illustrates that unless you have a marriage that works, your time is filled with empty distractions.

The special features menu is awash with the same standard fare present on most titles, with a nice array of Blu-ray exclusive deleted scenes, a fun gag reel and a feature entitled “Giggle Fit” – featuring Diaz and Mann trying; and failing, to get through a scene - that’s funnier than anything found on screen.

So with beauty to spare but no brains to bare, "The Other Woman" puts its best faces forward without much thought.
