"Blazing Beasts of Myth" is an aggressive midrange red-green creature deck that packs a powerful arsenal of burn spells in the form of Lightning Strike, Magma Jet, and Volcanic Geyser. If your early assault isn't enough to win then one of the deck's many monstrous creatures like Stoneshock Giant can break through an rival's defenses. You'll be able to speed up the process with help from Satyr Hedonist.
Like every intro pack, there's several improvements you'll need to compose to "Blazing Beasts of Myth" in order to bring the deck up to spec. Temple of Abandon, Stomping Grounds, and Gruul Guildgate can transform this boring mana base, giving the deck more consistency. "Theros" brings several new toys for Gruul aligned mages to play with, most notably a new planeswalker in the form of Xenagos, the Reveler. Adding in a god or two in the form of Nylea, God of the Hunt and/or Purphoros, God of the Forge can't hurt to power-up your deck either. If you enjoy monstrous beats, Stormbreath Dragon and Polukranos, World Eater are two epic creatures you'll want to get your hands on.
Taking a quick glance back, there's many options from the "Return to Ravnica" block one can add to "Blazing Beasts of Myth." Clan Defiance makes a fantastic upgrade from Volcanic Geyser, allowing you to take out up to two opposing threats while dealing damage to your adversary at the same time. Burning-Tree Emissary will speed up your second turn and Skarrg Guildmage can ensure late-game inevitability. Bloodrush creatures like Ghor-Clan Rampager can help you "get there," and with so many large threats fighting your enemy's creatures with Domri Rade will feel like the match has been fixed.
