I've always wanted to see this documentary when I first saw the preview on the Apple trailers app.
Blackfish is a documentary about the way people obtain these killer whales from the wild, how they treat them in captivity and how they train them to perform in front of people. And of course, the aftermath of trying to contain a massive killer whale in a water tank.
The interviews with former trainers of killer whales in Seaworld were very insightful and emotional. Of course, they know what they're talking about, they were the ones who "trained" these majestic creatures. And the fact that no one paid attention to their list of concerns was insane. To blame a trainer for their own death because of their "ponytail" and not because they're dealing with a killer whale is ludicrous.
Documentary definitely got their point across and is a must-see for everybody.
