When you think of Blackberry a very specific look comes to mind, but get ready to experience a new version of called Blackberry 10. The Blackberry has been around for quite a while and this phone has been the epitome of professional phones. It was the only phone that offered a full keyboard similar to that of a computer. But just as times change and priorities change, the touch screen movement in Smartphones has finally inspired Blackberry to come out with their own version.
The Blackberry Q10 brings the similar style of the old version of Blackberry with the full keyboard, but the company, previously known as RIM, has also released the Blackberry Z10 which exhibits the full touch screen features of most Smartphones on the market. While this is a pretty exciting new development, there are things to consider when it comes down to buying this phone. First, the Blackberry has a whole new operating system known as Blackberry 10 so the user must be able to change from the current popular OS of Apple, Android, or Windows. In addition, due to the change in operating system, there will be some restrictions on user availability.
Blackberry, while given a professional look and role similar to Apple, will have much less apps available on its OS just for the simple fact that it is too new. Apple and Android offer about ten times the apps that Blackberry is capable of at this point in time. However, over the coming months that gap will become less and less as app stores try to accommodate those who will inevitably buy this phone. Other restrictions include less variety in accessories. Again, since the new Blackberry phones are so new, there are not a lot of accessories that are available in mass market. Anyone wanting docking stations or case options or speakers may be hesitant to buy a phone that lacks these options yet.
