Black Ops 2 Zombies: Origins released in August for Xbox 360 and late September for PlayStation 3 and is still being talked about.
Origins does everything Nazi zombie fans want in a map pack. It brings adventure, puzzles, mystery, fright, and awesome gameplay.
We're introduced once more to the four main characters (Dempsey, Richtofen, Nikolai, and Takeo) from the original Nazi zombie maps in a way that we have never before seen them. We were introduced to them already grizzled and accustomed to the zombie plague but we see them in this map pack as a young group of four, unsure of what is going on.
The story takes place in Northern France, 1918 on a World War 2 battlefield where Richtofen and his partner, Maxis, have uncovered a dark evil under the ground which gave rise to the undead horde. Dempsey, Nikolai, and Takeo have been sent by their respective governments to take a look and, if possible, contain the outbreak.
Players are introduced to a new mechanic powered zombie, giant robots, new weapons, and new challenges, all while being guided by the familiar voice of Samantha Maxis, the antagonist of many other past maps.
Players will have to use the clues of the map to solve the mysteries of Origins and it's zombies, all while connecting the dots that will glue all the map packs together in one long story.
Origins is the last zombies map pack of Black Ops 2 and it does not disappoint. The Black Ops 2 team goes out with a bang; splattering their fans with the brains and blood of the undead. This is a map that will be played long after the series is over.
