Big Brother 13: Brendon returns, Brenchel is reunited

The entire population of L.A. gave a collective shudder Thursday as America's pick for return a houseguest competition, Brendon Villegas, won a ball game against Lawon Exum and re-entered the Big Brother house.

The contest was hinted at earlier in the week by NEH Julie Chen when she ominously declared that the next evictee "May have a chance to re-enter the game". For Lawon, the self-appointed volunteer pawn, this proved to be his downfall and cause for his permanent eviction from the house.

At the eviction ceremony, Lawon remained confident, even as he was evicted in a 6-0 vote. When NEH Chen announced that Lawon could have a seat, and gave the tired expression "Expect the Unexpected", Lawon and his alliance seemed to be on track with one of their greatest plans to date. This began to crumble as soon as they realized that Lawon would have to compete against Brendon.

The competition involved a timed event of throwing soccer balls with houseguest's names into an arcade-style horizontal basketball goal. Each competitor had to make all fourteen original houseguests, represented by a colored ball, into the goal. The competition was a visual and audio nightmare, with a hundred and fifty colored balls bouncing around, Rachel shrilling out colors and shrieking Brendon's name over and over as he frantically tried to get his balls in order. Ultimately, his dominance and her annoying voice proved too much for Lawon, and Villegas claimed victory.

The Alpha Alliance Residents of L.A.'s Big Brother house initially celebrated the return of one of their "strongest players", but their celebration turned to disappointment when enemy alliance member Danielle Donato won the subsequent HOH competition. If things continue along alliance lines, expect either Brendon or his fiancé, houseguest Rachel Reilly, to be evicted at the next eviction ceremony.
