Best of 2011: Death Strike - Fcukin' Death (re-issue)

When death metal was born in the early 1980s, the raw ingredients were streetwise heavy metal and urban hardcore. Paul Speckmann, also of Master and Abomination fame, derived his interpretation more from the punk side of things. Death Strike is energetic and chaotic, but also keeps the metallic principle of a strong sense of order and aggression. Almost thirty years later, this album still pounds heads together like no other.
