La Tablita

Isn’t it great when you walk into a restaurant by chance and have one of the best and cheapest lunches ever? This is what happened today as we drove around Palm Springs. Motivated by hunger pangs and a craving for Mexican we pulled into a charming-looking café called La Tabilita in Cathedral City.

By the look of the happily eating crowd we knew we make the right choice, My chicken tostada made with white meat, lettuce, beans and guacamole was delicious. Richard carnitas was equally as tasty and each cost just shy of $7. There are dozens of similar priced lunch choices and even top-shelf margaritas for $5 and $7.

The family-owned eatery is adorable and inviting. And get this, if you have more of a yen for sushi they also run the adjacent Dragon restaurant. Definitely one of the best Diva discoveries in the Desert.

La Tablita is located at 68-369 e. palm Canyon Drive, Cathedral City,760-321-5935. Come back for next restaurant reviews of Tinto at Saguaro and Sessions at the Hard Rock Palm Springs.
