The Places We Will Go by Ben Fiore

My initial introduction to local music writing whiz Ben Fiore came through having talked to his band mate Zach Hayes. We had several discussions about music after he discovered that I was a writer on the scene locally and nationally for going on five years, and it was in those discussions that his infectious upbeat personality got me asking about his band and his enthusiastic responses on Ben and the music had me hooked before I heard a note. I then went home one night, purchased his new single “Bluest Eyes” on iTunes, and was immediately taken in by the tempo, talented vocals, incredibly well written music that invaded my speakers. So, I had to learn more.

I looked up Ben on Facebook and asked him more and again, like Zach, I found an enthusiastic, upbeat personality that gets you excited for what they do. It was impossible not to push for more and he had Zach deliver the new CD complete “The Places We Will Go.”

Ben tags himself as acoustic/alternative/pop and the man and the band are flat out talented and worth the purchase of this new offering. It is melodic, deep; and it is music that will get people singing, and having a good time. It is as simple as that.

The music itself gets in your soul and Ben has a wonderful voice that compliments the music majestically. It is acoustic but has a hip-hop backbeats feel and Top-40 aura to it. It is unique and quite good, damn good actually. There is some experimental work on it with some distorted sounds leading into something clean and with some cool tempo and feel. Overall, I give this a 10 out of 10 rating easily. Go buy it off his website:
