They’re here for theAlhambra After Dark, they were first in JAX back in 2005, they appeared on “First Coast Living” on Thursday and now they’re back at the Alhambra Theater & Dining; we’re talking about the fantastic “Fab Four” – in their limited engagement ofBeatlemania Again.

The show opened on a Thursday night, yet with people having to go to work the next day, the extravaganza was a total sell-out. The theater was charged with patrons as young as eight and as mature as mature can be. Everyone was encouraged to ‘sing-a-long’ and that’s just what they did. You’d be surprised at the number of young people who knew the words to most of the Beatles songs.

Dave Pal (John Lennon), Alan Leboeuf (Paul Mccartney), John Korba (George Harrison) & Rich Morello as (Ringo Starr), had three costume changes during the night. They were The Beatles from head to toe, from black suits to Abby Road clothes, to mustaches, glasses, sneakers, blue jeans, to their long and short hair styles. These are four multi-talented men who speak with British accents but hail from New York and New Jersey.

From over 310 songs, the group sang (not lip-synced), played (more than one instrument) to the following songs in their entirety: “She Loves You, All My Love, Please Please Me, Bad Boy, Roll Over Beethoven, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, A Hard Day’s Night, This Boy Wants You Back Again, Can’t Buy Me Love, 8 Days A Week, I Love You More, Drive My Car, Help, I Feel Fine, Yesterday, When I Saw Her Standing There, Day Tripper.” INTERMISSION: “With A Little Help From My Friends, Hello, Goodbye, Tax Man, Nowhere Man, Yellow Submarine (what is a yellow sub anyway?), GotTto Get You Into My Life, Strawberry Fields Forever, Here Comes The Sun, Come Together, Back In The USSR, Get Back, Hey Jude, Revolution”. The guys were summons back on stage and they sang “Long Tall Sally & Twist & Shout”. Some left and missed the callback.

Ever since this black lady was a teenager watching the Ed Sullivan Show, I was gravitated to the TV set to watch four English guys sing and play on a couple of Sunday nights. The “Beatlemamia Again” performance at the Alhambra stirred-up some great memories from the 60’s. This show did not disappoint! Stay tuned for the Lists that will show all of the fantastic food from Chef De Juan.

Alhambra After Dark has limited engagement runs, so you have to act quickly in order to attend!
