Batman Arkham City is an adventure/stealth game developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game was released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 18th 2011, Windows on November 22nd, 2011, Wii U on November 18th, 2012 and OS X on December 13th, 2012. It is the second game in the Arkham series. The story follows Bruce Wayne showing his opposition for Arkham City at a press conference, but a mercenary group called TYGER arrest him, and now is a citizen of Arkham City. Should you make this game a part of your city, or condemn it?
Graphics-Like Arkham Asylum, the graphics are dark and gritty. The character models are a step up from Arkham City, and they look better.
Sound-Once again, Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy reprise their roles as The Joker and Batman, respectively, for this game. The other voice actors did a good job with their characters. A new feature to sound is hearing the enemy.
Gameplay-‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ is the best way to describe the gameplay, but there are more moves and combos this time around, which adds depth to combat. Like before, you gain experience from stringing together combos to finding answers to Riddler’s clues in order to level up and gain new equipment for both Batman and Catwoman. The problem of mixing up targets is still present from Arkham Asylum. A new feature is now there are trophies only Catwoman can collect.
Improvements-There is more to do this time around, which adds replay value. There are more characters this time around, which makes the game more interesting, and more riddles to solve, which add depth to the game.
Overall-With improvements from Arkham Asylum, deeper gameplay, more equipment, and the inclusion of playing as Catwoman, this game is a must play.
