Batgirl issue #34 was published by DC Comics as apart of their New 52 comics. Batgirl #34 is written by the amazing Gail Simone with art by Jonathan Giapion and Fernando Pasarin. This issue of Batgirl is the last for Gail Simone, as she moves on to bigger, better projects. Even thought I don't know what could be better than Batgirl.

Things are coming to an end this issue, not just for Gail Simone but for Batgirl also. The war that Knightfall started against Gotham is coming to an end with Batgirl, Black Canary, and Huntress saving the day. Knightfall sends in her army of metahuman mercs to take down every criminal in Gotham and a bounty for the hands. But Batgirl knows of this plans and stops it all with some friends of her own. People like Starfire, Wonder Girl, Catwoman, and even Misfit show up to help out Gotham and do a favor for Batgirl.

Not only is it a end to the war that Knightfall has started, but it's also a end for Batgirl. She finds out something that makes her feel a million times better and gives her a chance to start over new and fresh. She says she can become the Barbara she wants to be, starting with saying good bye to Alysia.

This issue brought up a ton of feels. I was already feeling down being that this is the last Batgirl issue I'll ever read that is written by Gail Simone. Gail has done a amazing job by bring Batgirl to life and making her a character that I really enjoyed reading. By the end of the issue I was so happy for Barbara. I was so happy that things ended on a amazing note and all seemed while in the world.

With that being said I am also looking forward to seeing what is next for Barbara/Batgirl. Starting in October in Batgirl #35 we will be seeing a new Batgirl. After she loses everything in a fire Batgirl ends up with a new outfit, a new lease on life, and a new artist and writers. Babs Tarr is the new artist for Batgirl and Cameron Stewart and Brenden Fletcher are the new writers.

What did you think of this issue? Are you looking forward to seeing where this new writers team take Batgirl?
