From the guys that brought you spots like, The Raven, 205 Club, Malt & Mash Pop Up, Sons of Essex and Petaluma, hospitality industry leaders The Line Group are proud to announce their newest venture, “Leave ROCHELLE Out Of It”, opening this month in New York’s Lower East Side (205 Christie St (Corner of Stanton St). Conceived by creative directors Brett David and Stephen Yorsz (who together bring not only 25 years of mutual nightlife and event experience, but also a lifetime of friendship) are the masterminds behind this current version of the classic old fashioned American saloon, aptly named after Rochelle, a mutual paramour of both gents, who far more then they, deserves her name in lights.
Leave ROCHELLE Out Of It, has a great vibe and will attract various types including hippies, geeks, and those from the neighborhood. A classic Whiskey Bar, Rochelle’s will offer a selection of over 70 brands of American whiskey including Old Pal; a blend of Rittenhouse Rye, Campari and Dry Vermouth. The Barrel-Aged Breukelen Cocktail, prepared with 86-proof Old Forrester and only available in limited quantities, is a steal at either $15 a glass or $150 By the Barrel, which is amazing. We also tried some of the food which included a Charcuterie Platters, and these amazing wings “Whiskey Wings”, fried wings, seasoned with rosemary honey and whiskey glaze.
Overall, Leave ROCHELLE Out Of It is the perfect, after work spot, first or second date or a light night out. I give it 4 1/2 out of 5, it’s a definite must visit, it’s a bit of a trip for anyone living in the outer boroughs or way uptown but trust me go and enjoy, good drinks, good food.
