"At Dusk We Launch" - The Floozies fire up a fresh, versatile album!

To kick off the new year right, The Floozies have generously given their fans a new album! "At Dusk We Launch" is full of well-rounded, solid songs that reflect the band's growth while sticking to the funky, jazzy, electronic characteristics that listeners love. This album comes out just in time to give fans a wide view of all that they have to look forward to at the concert at the Bottleneck this Friday night.

The first thing you notice as you start playing "At Dusk We Launch" is how catchy the beats and rhythms are. From the beginning of "Birfday Suit" the listener is instantly hooked and you will have no choice but to nod along to every groove of the tracks as the funky songs play.

From track to track, the album has a flow that is so smooth that transitions can slip by unnoticed especially leading into "Scram." Every song has different movements, taking the mind on unique paths while holding a common thread of dance-able funk.

As with every Floozies' album, EP and live show, "At Dusk We Launch" is bright and fun. Yet this album has a hard backbone of wicked bass and head-rocking drums that give each track a boldness and intensity like The Floozies at their most epic moments. The badass attitude incorporated in "Bumblebee," "Two Brothers," and "Body Slam" stands out as a remarkable feature in this album.

The vigorous energy that builds, flows and smolders throughout the album puts the "rage" back in the party. "Cheezle" and "Phat Beat" finish off the album with a sweeping, climactic ending that leaves the listener impressed, satisfied, but eager for more. Matt and Mark Hill demonstrate their mastery of funky wizardry from beginning to end in "At Dusk We Launch."

This Friday night The Floozies will be headlining a show with openers Nmezee vs. Inflect, and Thumpur. Tickets are $7 in advance, and $10 at the door. Doors open at 8 p.m. Their last show here sold out, so buy those tickets in advance, save yourself a few bucks and secure your spot at the party!
