"Ear Pods, Oh Ear Pods, How do you sound so wonderful?" I am currently sitting in JCPenney's--the latest but willing victim of shopping with the wife, post Christmas holiday.
I just purchased a pair of Apple's newest headphones--called Ear Pods, at the Brandon Apple Store. I just finished adjusting the Max Volume setting on my phone--to about 80% of the possible volume available--much lower than the previous 95% of before. They are that much more effective then the previous ear buds that accompanied the iPhone 4.
I am just amazed at the sound quality and full frequency range these Ear Pods can produce--they sound like three-way pro speakers!
Imagine these headphones on an airplane--with the close quarters, ambient jet noise, hacking and coughing, and talkative seat neighbors.
I am currently listening to the soundtrack to "Batman Begins", but I can see myself listening to my entire soundtrack collection shortly. Who knows how long we will be here.
While listening to my music, it has to compete with the canned store musíque, nearby shoppers on all sides of me, and various levels of clinking and sliding of hangers on clothes racks. I can still enjoy my music.
I am at the sub woofer section of opening number of the "The Dark Knight" soundtrack. The Ear Pods faithfully reproduce the low 40Hz to 70Hz section of this opening piece. Apple's previous stock Ear Buds used to cough or distort at this musical section, depending on the volume level.
If you ever scoffed at ear bud headphones in general, give these a shot. You cannot beat the quality of Apple's $29.99 Ear Pods. Thanks again Apple, and Happy New Year!
