Apothic wine uses grapes from California to create their Red and White variations. But every spring for the last two years they have released Apothic Rose just in time for the warm weather.

The limited edition Apothic Rose blends Zinfandel, Pinot Noir and Syrah using the saignée process to bleed intense color from the grapes resulting in its vibrant hue. Varietal Content: 66% Zinfandel, 18% Pinot Noir 7% Syrah and an alcohol level of 13.0%. Apothic Rose is priced at $14 for a 750-ml bottle and available nationwide for a limited time.

Below is a recipe for a cocktail with the Rose which I must say if done right can be the official cocktail of the 2014 summer.

Apothic Raspberry Rose

Description: A light and refreshing cocktail made with Apothic Rose, fresh lemon, raspberries and club soda.

Recipe:

2oz Apothic Rose

.5oz lemon juice

1oz club soda

Top with club soda (about 2oz)

3 raspberries + mint sprigs, for garnish

Directions:

1.Combine all the ingredients (except the club soda) in a glass with ice.

2. Add the club soda.

3. Top with raspberries and mint sprigs.
