For the larger version of Angel or Alien by Thierry Mugler priced at $180, consumers can get refills for $130. For the medium version of Angel or Alien by Thierry Mugler priced at $80, the refills are $50.

And while Alien smells like someone has been suffocated in a flower bed, Angel is a pleasurable experience. The perfume notes in Alien include sambac jasmine, cashmeran wood and amber gris.

Angel, an oldie but goodie from 1992, includes the following notes: top notes of melon, coconut, mandarin orange, cassia, jasmine, bergamot and cotton candy; middle notes of honey, apricot, blackberry, plum, orchid, peach, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, red berries and rose; and base notes of tonka bean, amber, patchouli, musk, vanilla, dark chocolate and caramel.

Angel by Thierry Mugler is lighter, more airy, mildly sweet and has a "natural" aroma to it. After the top notes calm down, the middle notes are a bit musky so it could be a borderline unisex fragrance. Once it settles in, Angel by Thierry Mugler is reminiscent of fragrance lotion. Not too strong but noticeable enough to enjoy.

So this deal is a winner for two reasons. Angel is a pretty fragrance that's worth the purchase, and both options help consumers avoid dumping a perfectly good bottle in the trash. For other perfume bottle recycling options, click here.
