Anderson Valley, Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrel Stout, 6.9%abv

Anderson Valley, Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrel Stout, 6.9%abv. is pitch black with a creamy dark brown head that dissipates quickly. The nose is full of dark roasted malt with espresso, cacao and vanilla. Vanilla is the first flavor to hit the tongue followed by roasted malt. Bourbon and espresso mix with dark cacao next on the palate. All these complex flavors work together for a great tasting stout. This ale has a full mouth feel with a medium finish.
Despite the full mouth feel, the body is medium that makes it easy to drink more than one. Make a rich beef stew with root vegetables with this beer, then drink a bottle of this bourbon barrel stout with it. You can also crust a pork loin with ground coffee and sip this brew with it. Or you can also chomp on a chocolate bar with a high cacao content while enjoying this beer.
