Recently released in theatres is "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues," which is set several years after the events of the first film. This movie is set in the early 1980s.

"Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" begins with Ron Burgundy (played by Will Ferrell) and Veronica Corningstone (played by Christina Applegate) as a married couple who are co-anchors, based in San Diego. Veronica gets offered a better job in New York, but Ron is fired for repeatedly screwing up while reading the news. Shortly after this, the once happy couple get into a big fight and break up. Months later, Ron gets offered a new job at a 24-hour news station, which is also in New York. He accepts the job and brings his old news team: the mentally challenged weatherman Brick (played by Steve Carell), country-culture lover sportscaster Champ (played by David Koechner) and ladies man field reporter Brian (played by Paul Rudd).

"Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" has a lot of laughs. Many of the characters they work with at their new news station are a lot of fun. One of them is a rival anchor, played by James Marsden.

The cast of the film is first-rate. Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate are, as always, perfect as Ron and Veronica. Throughout the movie, there are a lot of great cameos.

"Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" provides many laughs for fans of ensemble comedies, and news junkies will find much to appreciate.
