Anchor Steam Liberty Ale

To celebrate the San Francisco 49ers victory in the NFC Championship game I’m having a few Anchor Steam Liberty Ale, San Francisco 5.9 abv. First Brewed in 1975 to celebrate the 200-year anniversary ride of Paul Revere. It is revered as the first modern American IPA brewed after prohibition. Yellow gold in color with a creamy white head, it has aromas of citrus and floral hops. It has a nice malty character with nice citrus flavors and a long hoppy finish.

I have no Baltimore beer to compare it to, and even though the brewery poll picked the Patriots to win, I was pulling for the Ravens. The Patriots can meet my Jets on the golf course now while the Ravens and 49ers prepare for the big game in New Orleans. So San Fran fans enjoy any of Anchor Steam’s beers. Baltimore fans you can enjoy whatever you’d like waiting for the big game.
