Simi Valley may not be what comes to mind when you are planning a Southern California vacation, but it's a place that is well worth a visit. Home of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Library, Simi Valley is a quiet destination with nice hiking trails and beautiful views of the southland. Ronald Reagan said he had two favorite places, Simi Valley and Santa Barbara. Visiting here, you can see why. His library, which houses the presidential records under his administration, is perched high atop a hill with sweeping view sure to take your breath away.
Just five minutes away from The Ronald Reagan Library, pet-friendly Best Western Posada Royale offers a comfortable and pleasant oasis. A nice hike is right outside your hotel door that takes you to an easy mountain top summit and is a great way to start your day.
The hotel serves guests a free breakfast that is far better than most and is hosted by an attendant who brings coffee and orange juice to your table.
All areas of the hotel were clean and well taken care of on my visit. The rooms include a microwave, mini refrigerator, coffee maker and large armoire to hang your clothing in. There are plenty of areas to walk your dog around the hotel.
The Posada Royale is a very good value in a beautiful location. Lovely Mediterranean architecture, clean, comfortable rooms and suites and a great breakfast.
