This was definitely not the usual Sevendust high powered, pull out all the plugs type of show. It was lots of candles, very low lighting and a very serene feel. Everyone had their own stool to sit on just like any other acoustic set. The band was relaxed and very calm, but still managed to blow the roof off the Knit.

Attendance for this show was very good with nearly 500 fans showing up, not to bad for a Sunday night Knitting Factory show.

Sevendust is an American alternative metal band from Atlanta, Georgia. The band formed in 1994.

Following a few name changes, the members settled on the name Sevendust and released their self-titled debut album on April 15, 1997.

The all original members for this show included , Lajon Witherspoon-(lead vocals), Clint Lowery-(guitars, backing vocals), John Connolly-(guitars, backing vocals), Vince Hornsby-(bass) and Morgan Rose-(drums, percussion, backing vocals).

Since this was an evening with Sevendust, there were two sets with a short 15 minute intermission.

The first set lasted 90 minutes and went like this, (from the set list on stage)

"Trust", "Prayer", "Crucified", "Xmas Day", "Under It All", "Skeleton Song", "The Wait", "Denial", "Disgrace", "Ass Drop" and "Gone".

The second set lasted 45 minutes and went like this, (also from the set list on stage)

"Come Down", "Hurt" (Nine Inch Nails cover), "Karma", "Got A Feeling", "Angel's Son" and "Black".

Lead singer Witherspoon really poured his heart out on every song and the rest of the band knocked the socks of every person in the venue. This show really showed the musicianship of every member of the band, very impressive indeed.

If you ever have a chance to see these guys acoustically, do it, you won't be disappointed.

A great time was had by all.
