A cat's body contains approximately 130,000 hairs per square inch. So it stands to reason that if you have a cat, then you have cat hair. Most likely on everything.

Over the years, many gadgets and doodads have been introduced with the promise of easily removing cat hair from garments and furniture. Various designs of lint rollers, pet hair removal tools and more come to mind.

While these may do in a pinch, they can also damage some clothing and often do not work well on sofas or chairs with more than a light coating of fur.

When I received an announcement about a new Cat Hair Removal Glove by a company called SwiPets claiming it was 'unparalleled in its ability to remove cat hair from virtually any surface,' I was a bit skeptical.

But I figured what the heck, it can't hurt to try it.

The moment it arrived I put it to use. I swiped the sofa, an antique chair and the dining room table. It did a fantastic job. Definitely better than any other product I have ever tried.

The glove is quite comfortable and easy to use. Simply put it on and use your hand to clear whatever surface is covered in cat fur. The fur collects on the glove as you swipe. Simply discard the clump of fur.

Developed by animal-lover and successful entrepreneur, Donna Meté, the SwiPets glove is made from a blend of spandex and nylon along with a special coating (patent pending). It can be used on clothing, comforters, pillows, sofas and chairs as well as corners, cracks and crevices around the house.

The glove is washable and reusable, too, making it more sustainable than many other pet hair removal products.

A single glove (in celery green or light blue) retails for $14.99 and a double pack of white gloves goes for $19.99.

Although I did receive a product sample, I was not compensated in anyway for this review.
