Walk quickly past the dozens of timeshare sellers at the Puerto Vallarta airport, not acknowledging their spiels with a comment, because you are about to experience a stay at one of the nicest all-inclusive resorts in the area, with Unlimited Luxury where everything is included in the price you have already paid for your getaway.
The best thing about Dreams Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa is the completely private beach, enclosed at each end by scenic rock cliffs which shelter the little bay in which the resort is nestled. Or the best thing might possibly be the spacious and luxurious rooms and suites, many of which have balconies overlooking that same scenic and idyllic little beach. Ask for an ocean view room with a Jacuzzi on the balcony, fill your Jacuzzi with cool water and lounge in it as you sip a beverage from your mini-bar (all of which are included in your price and are constantly replenished as you consume them) and realize you have truly arrived in paradise.
Or the best thing might possibly be the wonderful food served at the five gourmet restaurants, beachside grill and café. Try the wonderful homemade coconut ice cream or delicious burgers served at the Seaside Grill, the incredible scallop appetizer at the Oceana Restaurant or any of the delicious entrees served at El Patio – and stay longer than a weekend so you can try the other restaurants!
Then again, the best thing might be the three gorgeous pools, three Jacuzzis and all the dozens of activities offered at the resort, all included in your original price. Try snorkeling in the crystal-clear water, rappel on the easy-to-scale cliffs, experience all the non-motorized water sports, or choose to just lie on the beach with a cold drink and good book. If you decide to leave the resort, you can also go scuba diving, water skiing, horseback riding, take a trip into the jungle or shop in downtown Puerto Vallarta.
From approximately June through October, mother Kemp's Ridley Sea Turtles visit the beach at the resort to lay their eggs. If you are lucky, you might have the opportunity to take part in the daily turtle release event.
In the evening, after you have had a wonderful dinner at one of the restaurants (remember that all your food and drinks are already paid for!) you can experience a variety of shows or even a movie night.
You may think you are completely relaxed but, until you spend some time at the Dreams Spa by Pevonia, you have not really relaxed. They offer facials with therapeutic plants extracts, several types of massages (I recommend a relaxing massage on the beach), an aromatherapy salt glow which gives you fabulously smooth skin, and a variety of other treatments, or you can really pamper yourself and choose one of the spa packages.
If you feel like you may have imbibed a little too freely of all the lovely drinks and delicious food, spend some time at the modern and full equipped fitness center to burn a few calories. They have plenty of equipment available and even offer aerobic classes.
