South Florida - GableStage at the Biltmore presents the Southeastern Premiere of "4000 MILES" by Amy Herzog, starring Michael Focas, Wei-Yi Lin, Kate O'Phalen and Harriet Oser.

Oser gives an outstanding performance as Vera Joseph, the grandmother that is much hipper than we realize, until we all sit down for a discussion of sex, death or what takes us on "4,000 Miles".
Directed by multi-Carbonell Award winning Joseph Adler. Adler keeps Florida on the map for "the fun in the sun arts destination" by offering a play that brings generations together. The brilliant cast includes Michael Focas ( Leo Joseph-Connell), Wei-Yi Lin (Amanda), Kate O'Phalen (Bec), Harriet Oser (Vera Joseph). Every cast member hits their mark, with realistic unique characters that come to life like a pop up book. Each one so different yet their relationships build the story of "4,000 Miles".
Obie Award winning playwright Amy Herzog keeps the exposition coming at you from four very different characters at bike race speed. A play about a friend's loss on "4,000 Miles" of bike trip shares real humanity.

Set Designer Lyle Baskin brings you into a warm grandmother's apartment with small kitchen, dinning area, hall way to bedrooms and even the neighbors apartment. The set is once again one of the elements that makes this play work. The Sound Design by Matt Corey and music chosen between scenes is moving. Light Design by Steve Welsh and Costume Design by Ellis Tillman bring together all the elements for this realistic "4,000 Miles" Journey.
