Amittyville II: The Possession (1982)

Statistically, the sequel to a great horror movie tends to be a flop. With that in mind, with bated breath, I watched Amittyville II: The Possession. But this film was not necessarily a sequel, but a prequel, one that follows the “truth” behind what happened to the family who lived in the house during a murderous rampage by the eldest son.

“An Italian-American family move into a house built on an ancient Indian burial ground. The oldest son is possessed by an evil spirit, and is forced to murder his family. The family's priest feels responsible, and tries to save the possessed boy's soul.”–IMDB.com

This film was awful. The special effects are really bad and the performances are even worse. Bar none, this was one of the most idiotic horror films that I have had the misfortune of wasting my time on. It is this reviewer’s opinion that this little known movie deserves to be locked away in a vault where it can waste no true horror fan’s time
