He opened his set with the new tune "Paul Simon" and it was followed by "Better With You," the opening track of his sophomore studio album "Thank You Camellia."
Allen continued with "Don't Set Me Free" and "Loves Me Not." "Alright with Me," which happens to be my personal favorite song of his was as catchy as always and "Leave You Alone" was equally noteworthy.
He showcased his mellow vocals on "In Time" and it was followed by another top-notch acoustic ballad "It's Always You."
"Beautiful and Wild" was inspired by the birth of his boy, Oliver, and it contains vivid and warm lyrics. "Monster" displayed his versatility as an artist and "Out Alive" was another cut from his sophomore CD that he covered in his live show.
His signature song was his breakthrough hit "Live Like We're Dying" and he closed with "Shut That Door" and "End of the Show," where he was joined with his backing musicians on background vocals.
Overall, Kris Allen and his band did a solid job playing acoustic music for the fans in the Long Island area. His vocals were soothing and impressive. His live show garnered 5 out of 5 stars.
