Christmas is hard for many people, paradoxical as that may seem. For many it is a time of loneliness, a reflection of failure or loss. And then there’s the news. It’s usually depressing. But here’s something cheerful to consider: America’s Christmas Channel UP TV provides uplifting entertainment for everyone.
Movies such as première movie Silver Bells, starring Bruce Boxleitner, Kenton Duty, Kevin Downes… and Guess Who’s Coming to Christmas, an original movie starring Olivia Cheng and Drew Lachey are among a plethora of excellent movies with an inspiring message.
Silver Bells tells the story of a demanding, insensitive father who expects too much from everyone – especially his family. But his assertive nature soon gets him into trouble and he learns a lesson about humility by being forced to do community service alongside some God-loving folk and his family end up reaping the benefits of newfound life.
Guess Who’s Coming to Town, on the other hand, centers around a vain, self-centered music star, Dax, whose songwriting talent has dried up. His manager comes up with a plan to make Dax popular again and it involves granting a fan’s wish. Fulfilling the wish ends up becoming a big deal as it requires him to stay with a family – a Christian family – during Christmas. But nothing is a mistake with God and this visit ends up transforming his life. The movie features an original music duet by MacKenzie Porter (starring as the pastor’s daughter) and Drew Lachey.
These are just a few of the uplifting stories that can be view on UP TV this Christmas season. Don’t miss them.
