Agion Technologies, Inc. has been holding a global anti-stink experiment which is better known as the “Stink at Nothing” campaign that invites athletes and outdoor enthusiasts to take their challenge. Shirts that are half treated with their Agion Active odor-elimination technology are being sent out to those who are willing to wear this shirt during their sweat-induced activity to see if it really works. As we know, climbers do sweat, so this is a great opportunity to test out some new technology and not stink after you’ve climbed several routes.
The shirts are only half treated with the odor-elimination technology so the tester can easily smell which side “Stinks at Nothing”. Agion Active has a dual-action technology that provides antimicrobial product protection, industrial-strength odor elimination, and eliminates odors on and around the fabric. This technology eliminates odors from multiple sources; evaporation odor from the skin, odors absorbed and wicked by fabric, bacteria based odor on fabric, and environmental/ambient odor absorption.
Agion is a leader in providing customized solutions that enhance the value of their partner’s products with technologies based on silver and other naturally occurring elements. They have been incorporated in 40 different footwear brands among many other consumers and wanted to go into apparel so this brought on the development of Agion Active.
The “Stink at Nothing” shirt was definitely put to the test as it was worn during hours of skiing, traversing, climbing and bouldering, and a snow kiting clinic. There were days out skiing that were pretty warm despite the snowy conditions. You definitely get sweating quite a bit while indoor climbing and bouldering especially if you’re at it for a few hours.
The results were pretty obvious in each case of outdoor playing. The side that was treated with Agion Active had no stench to it whatsoever. The other side, however, didn’t fair too well. You could really tell the difference especially with the smell.
Agion definitely has something going on with Agion Active. If you don’t want to take my word for it and want to try it out for yourself, visit www.stinkatnothing.com and inquire about how to get a shirt to test out. The Stink at Nothing Challenge runs through July 2011.
