Your guests have left and now it is the first weekend where you have time to take down the decorations and deep clean. It feels great to box up all the tinsel and Christmas paraphernalia for another year—the room looks larger already.
But when you survey the surroundings you realize the extra traffic of friends and family coming and going have taken their toll and created quite a mess.

Best to just move the furniture out onto the deck or into the next room—and after a quick clearing and cursory dusting of the furniture—then vacuum.
Here at Lifestyle Examiner we used the new Samsung Model SC96PO canister vacuum. This canister is deceptive because despite its small footprint, this vac packs power. Real, heavy-duty, adjustable power.
Some of the features of this machine we like:
- It cleans up pet hair extremely well by reducing pet dander with a sealed HEPA filter and an odor-eliminating carbon filter
- The brush has a few strips on them that really capture hair and small pet dander
- When you press the SUCTION(-/+) AUTO button it will change the suction power of the vacuum. When you start, each time you press the button, you increase the suction power. After you press the suction button three times, the vacuum reaches its maximum suction power. Then, an additional press will set the vacuum to Auto mode. In Auto mode, the vacuum adjusts the suction power automatically.
- It seems a lot quieter than any other model we have tested
- The handle is shaped for easy hold and a quick on-off
- It’s got a mini-turbo brush and attachments for cleaning drapes and upholstery
- The smaller size makes it easy to drag around and carry when needed.
The only things we would have liked would have been a longer cord (but it does have a nice retractable feature). We also wish there was somewhere to store the attachments.
While it may seem pricey (@ $449.00 retail) the suction is unbelievable and the dander-cleaning features and filter system may help when families have someone with severe allergies. We highly recommend this machine.
