AERIAL7's children's headphones great for techy kids (Photos)

With all the electronic devices children now have access to, having good quality, well-fitting headphones for kids are a must, but it's hard to find ones that kids can't easily break. this is why AERIAL7 created the Arcade children's headphone. They combined fresh designs and quality materials along with a compact, adjustable headband that holds up to the wear and tear of even the toughest kids.

The Arcade is also infused with AERIAL7's Automatic Volume Reduction (AVR) technology. This technology reduces the maximum volume or sound pressure, without compromising sound quality which allows children to listen to crystal clear sound without distortion or excess exposure to noise. It complies with OSHA regulation standards so if the volume control gets bumped or turned up accidentally (which will definitely happen with little hands) it will automatically reduce the volume to 85db.

My Experience

I was able to have my kids check out the AERIAL7 Arcade headphones recently and was really impressed. They love to watch movies in the car and are constantly complaining about their headphones, which are not kid-sized, falling off. Plus, I have heard their headphones all the way from the front seat sometimes so I know they turn them up loud. So, I was happy to plug in the Arcade headphones and turn on Princess Sing-A-Long for my daughter and later Curious George for one of my sons. They fit both their heads, stayed put even when they be bopped their heads around, and I could tell they weren't too loud. Fantastic! The kids said they were "soft" and "comfy" and I liked that they could hear me even if they were listening to a show.

The Arcade headphones are much more than ordinary plug and play ones. While they fit my three year old, they were probably better suited for my six year old because of the need for batteries and a small on/off switch. The headphones come with a battery (which is nice) that is necessary for the headphones to work (not just for the AVR to work). The on/off switch is very small and a bit tough for small fingers to find. They were a hit with my crew!

Bottom line: For $50, these headphones are kid-tough and will last so much longer than the cheaper ones. Plus, the kids will love that these headphones actually fit and give them great sounding music, movies, or video games.

Disclosure: I received the Arcade headphones so I could review them but all opinions are my own.
