The Friday night stop at the video rental store became a weekly occurrence. Everyone had to get the latest films so they could spend it in front of the little screen and then the parents would get the films to keep the kiddies busy for awhile. They had taken the country by storm and as quick as they'd come they were replaced by DVD.

Now it seems VHS tapes have become the novelty item of the moment. As 8 track aficionados came and went the VHS collector is here to stay. Most any discount record/movie store will have a section for VHS. Any flea market across this country will have tables with VHS on them.

Directors Dan Kinem and Levi Peretic have traveled this country of ours and are ready to show us that VHS is here again and it's no small deal. VHS changed many people and the way they view movies.

VHSHitfest along with Horror Boobs and Lunchmeat have brought us a wonderful journey back in time. The DVD set will be released June 17, 2014 and is of the highest quality. Enjoy the interviews with collectors, producers, and filmmakers who played a part in the VHS craze. The DVD package includes short films, trailers, and festival footage Q&A. So have fun with this documentary and take that journey back to the long lines after work at the video stores. This is one for the library as it is history in the making. Enjoy.
