Academy Sports has opened in Knoxville near Kingston Pike at Cedar Bluff.
A visit to the store revealed a large selection of handguns, rifles, and shotguns, as well as ammunition and all sorts of outdoor gear.
Camping gear, golf, athletic shoes, and athletic clothing . . . there is plenty for everyone.
The sign at the front door was quite refreshing, in that it recognizes lawful carry, whether open or concealed.
Academy joins Gander Mountain and Mast General Store in welcoming lawful defensive handgun carriers. On the other hand, legal carriers should be warned that Joann's Fabrics is posted.
