From one fragrance lover to another, I must admit that, this afternoon I went to “Target Super Store” and picked up some Elizabeth Taylor’s perfume “White Diamonds.” I have published (on my fashion blogs) some very memorable mentions about the way the fashion industry adores fragrance and perfume advertising, not just because, it’s the way some individuals live and earn an income, but, because of the stress-free behavior it seems to cause after regular use. Fragrance has been scientifically studied to produce the same affect that eating some really good gourmet chocolate would have on a woman’s brain for depression reduction, by creating endorphins that stimulate happy feelings of relaxation and an anti-depressant of the rejuvenated and renewed cells. So, in light of those facts, I went up the fragrance counter, not only because it had some beautiful picture-packaging with some other newly introduced fragrances of, none the less, but model “Heidi Klum” and singer “Beyonce” along-side the legendary Liz Taylor (when she was alive)! So…in memory and appreciation of her, I had to liven up and smell the “Glam” of what was keeping her things on the market and why I would purchase some myself. On sale for ($29.99) at your local Kissimmee, Florida Super Target, located on Highway 192, it is a great bargain for the fragrance lovers-of-class and the richness that most, in youth, might have ignored, but now, for the price, would grab up, and for the nostalgia, wouldn’t miss out on! What an awesome Christmas gift for an older Mom or Grandmother (or friend) for a beautifully (home-spun) appreciation and gift of love? I would suggest this gift for a maturing old movie lover or a classic fashionista who is a Liz Taylor fan, and who remembers her, almost as well as Marilyn Monroe! After this shopping adventure, going online was just as easy. Wanting to find out more about this fragrance and how it is created and if it is available through online ordering, I found undoubtedly, a-thousand-and-one-ways, of course! However, at the top of the indexing list that comes up after a key word search is done, I found Macys.com and Frangrance.net at the top for submitting online orders and getting shipping done directly to the home or office door of the purchasers choice. I wanted to shop this way, because I needed to read the fragrance description, because the smells and fragrance “notes” definitely made me wonder what exactly was in this beautifully well-blended perfume. After, I got home, I noticed that if I had sprayed more than a tiny bit, this rich and empowering fragrance would have overwhelmed my senses and not been as light and refreshing (like a warm “dove soap” after-shower smell that lingers after a quick fresh towel-dry, while sitting on clean white linens). Due to the rich blend of Liz Taylor’s fragrance, you’d only need a hint of it on either your wrist, where your pulse beats the oxygenated blood that stimulates the chemical appeal that makes you either love or hate a perfume (in a mental-frenzy) all at once! Anyway, I’m sure by now, you’ve got the whole picture, so, the question remains, what “is” in this well-made and marketed product that brings a smile to my fashionista heart in memory of a great actress, who, by the way, paved many a path for the same treasured occurrence of fragrance marketing madness happen for many other models and actresses of the entertainment industry! I found that White Diamonds…the fragrance is what Hollywood dreams of glamour are made of. It is a soft blend of, of course feminine floral(s) with special blending touches of Narcisse, Gardenia and Lilies. There are extremely crisp green notes that produce this captivating, nectar of the Hollywood Goddesses. Glamorous enough to call this perfume “made” especially for Elizabeth Taylor, astounding! With these notes I will always remember her beauty and remarkable talent, forever! Hope E
