Fictional character development gives stars human emotions, and will speak to a diversity of children who may be aware of stars in the sky. We know that stars really do not have feelings but the story is a representation of what a human feeling is and how a human might react in response to feeling good. Invite Cynthia to speak at your local elementary school where students and parents gather to listen and take home a copy of this book.

Many readers are familiar with the typical Christian story in that light would have been easily interpreted in relationship to and in response to love, For example, when a person has love in their life through action then they shine a light.Any little child learns this concept.
Reaching out to a diversity of readers, the story of Can't and Able was emotionally inspired and alone may leave a five or six year old reader with the understanding of a moral about good, however, creates opportunity for discussion. This is a unique story because there is a prevailing emotional conflict as the good fortune of ability and the evil of a sudden harmful painful incident intertwine. When the sudden misfortune happens, have courage to read on to see how the story brings hope through the discovery of an ability, and concludes with an inspired ending indeed.
