A great stay at the Hilton Los Cabos, Mexico

My wife is a part time travel agent. She would travel year round if she could. We planned a trip this March and I have to say I had my doubts. We went to Cancun years ago, and I figured I have had my fill of the Mexico scene.

So different is the Baja coast compared to anywhere else in Mexico. At the Hilton Los Cabos you feel like you ahve just stepped into relaxation heaven. The two swim up bars and poolside service is the just the beginning.

The food is nothing like your favorite Mexican restaurant in your home town. It is ten times better. There are two upscale restaurants, El Mason and Fenicia. We had dinner at both of them and it is a challenge to pick which one is the best. I will say that they were both outstanding.

El Mason is the main restaurant of the hotel where the big breakfast bar the lunch menus are served. This restaurant serves true authentic upscale Mexican cuisine. I have eaten guacamole over 100 times, and now I have had the best.

Fenicia Restaurant is a semi-formal setting, specializing in Mediterranean influences and top notch quality service. Fenicia is the hotels signature restaurant. We witnessed exceptional service, when we saw the restaurant serve a romantic couple on the beach.

La barca is the pool side day restaurant, which we had lunch served to us poolside every day. Menu items include fish tacos, fresh salads, and quesadillas, to hamburgers. They even have pizza. Sure beats the drive through and eating in the car.

We did not have any complaints about anything at the Hilton.

During our stay, we did a whale watching excursion set up through the hotel. It was one of the most amazing experiences I have done in my life. I still have visions of the huge whales jumping out the water right next to us. It was unbelievable. As a bonus you can even see the whales from our balcony while at we were at the hotel.

If ever you have the opportunity to stay and experience this hotel, it will be a trip you soon not forget. It was a memorable trip for me and my wife.
