Judith Campbell’s sleuthing minister is terrific in her latest thriller, A Despicable Mission, where she combines the beautiful island setting of Martha’s Vineyard with a suspense-filled mystery, and emerges with another winner!

In A Despicable Mission, Olympia Brown finds herself searching for her next profession after resigning from Meriwether College. She signs on to an eight week stint as a parish minister with the intention of relaxing, mulling over what she wants to be when she grows up, and pondering her recent living situation with new love interest Frederick Watkins. However, in true Olympia Brown fashion, she manages to land smack in the middle of yet another dangerous situation. The problem with Olympia is that, no matter where she goes, trouble always finds her! Even on the peaceful island of Martha’s Vineyard amidst yachts, pastel gingerbread cottages, and nosy but well-meaning neighbors! Olympia is learning all too quickly that owning a piece of prime island real estate is putting some of the resident’s lives at risk!

Despicable, once again, displays Campbell’s real talent as a mystery writer because she’s so good at creating those underlying sub-plots and, in this installment, there are several. Add to this her usual cast of colorful characters, and her ever-present house ghost, Ms. Leanna Faith Winslow, and trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

Fortunately you won’t have to wait long. This third installment of the Olympia Brown Mystery series is scheduled for release February 2012 and will be available for purchase through the publisher, Mainly Murder Press, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Bunch of Grapes bookstore in Vineyard Haven, and at local bookstores across the country. Following close on its heels is number four in the series, An Unholy Mission.

Judith Campbell divides her time between the beautiful island of Martha's Vineyard and Plymouth, Massachusetts with her husband and Englishman, Chris Stokes. She is an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister, and author of several books and articles, including children's stories, and poetry. She is a member of Sisters in Crime and Mystery Writers of America. Campbell is an avid traveler and often presents writing retreats and spirituality workshops both nationally and internationally.
