A Café is a creperie and bistro in downtown Boulder, Colorado. Over the last few months, this restaurant has gone through a few nips and tucks and is now completely transformed. Formerly Crepes A La Cart and Arlene’s Creperie and Bistro, new management has changed this creperie into a higher quality bistro that looks and feels like you have walked into a creperie in the heart of Paris.
A Café has a great amount of unique and intriguing crepe options listed on their menu, as well as daily specials. Today’s crepe was filled with fried bananas and coconut and drizzled with a vanilla bean creme anglaise. The flavor was absolute perfection. The fried bananas were crispy and sweet, the coconut added nice texture, and the creme anglaise was beautifully made. Absolutely incredible!
One of their crepes listed on the menu was the Smores crepe. This crepe is filled with graham cracker, marshmallow, and chocolate. Again, another delicious crepe! The chocolate was rich, had deep flavors, and was also not too dark. The marshmallow was nice and gooey, and the graham cracker crumbs were a great addition of flavor and texture. It was the super smore!
The A Café is a Parisian dream! All that is missing is a view of the Eiffel Tower out the window. Check it out and you will not be disappointed!
