I was a huge fan of the Victoria’s Secret lip glosses, until I found out that they are packed with terrible chemicals, and I just couldn’t bear to put them on my lips anymore. Since then, I’ve been looking for a super-glossy replacement that is healthy and natural; and, I believe I have found a perfect replacement for the VS lip gloss in Jane Iredale’s Puregloss lip gloss. Not only is the Jane Iredale lip gloss formula just as brilliantly glossy and long lasting as the VS lip glosses are, but Jane Iredale’s lip gloss is also incredibly moisturizing and works as a great barrier for the lips in cold weather.
The color I am reviewing is ‘red current’, and it is a super shiny and sheer red color with a tiny bit of red, pink and purple sparkles. It is really a wash of red color that enhances the lips' natural color. The photos in the slideshow give a good visual representation of the gloss. The slideshow includes a swatch on my skin, and also a view of the gloss on my lips in different lighting.
Jane Iredale lip gloss is definitely in my shortlist of the best lip gloss formulas around.
