Can't get to a fast food restaurant but crave their food? Then try Breakfast Best Biscuit Sandwiches. I get them from Aldi Supermarket. They come in a box of 4, and are meal size breakfast biscuits. The cost $2.99 a box.
We like the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit. They are frozen, and individually wrapped. For a quick breakfast all you have to do is take one, or as many as you want, out of the freezer. Wrap in a paper napkin, and put in the microwave. It takes between 2 1/2 to 3 minutes on the defrost setting.
If the sandwich is already thawed then you reheat for 50 seconds.
These are not a healthy breakfast, but are filling. 1 sandwich is 410 calories, and the calories from fat are 190. They have 21g total fat, saturated fat 8g, trans fat 2g, 115 mg of cholesterol, 1400 mg sodium, total carbohydrate 37g, dietary fiber 1g, sugars 3g, and protein 16g.
As Len has health issues we buy them for when we are at our timeshare. This is a treat for him, and once a month doesn't upset his sugar readings too much.
They are not as good as Burger King or McDonald's but have an acceptable taste. There are instructions for a conventional oven, and I would assume that they would probably taste better, if done that way.
If you have breakfast on the run, and am tired of toast, bagels, muffins, breakfast bars, then having the occasional Biscuit Sandwich could be a nice change.
