If you’re heading to MacWorld/iWorld 2014, chances are you’ll sample a number of cutting edge innovations. Among those worth taking a closer look are iNPOFI wireless chargers from the award-winning San Jose startup Kirk H&J Corporation.
A leading provider of power management products, Kirk H&J currently offers a line of trendsetting wireless charging systems using their unique iNPOFi (iNvisible POwer Field) technology. Featuring what’s described as the world’s first zero-radiation, portable iNPOFi wireless charging system, products also include charging boards, charging cases for the iPhone and charging covers for Samsung Galaxy.
This review covers the iNPOFi Wireless Charging System - iNPOFi Mobile Wireless Charger (model B18) and Wireless Charging Case for the iPhone 5/5S (model C151). Upon removing the wireless charger from its packaging, you'll immediately notice its beautifully crafted design, made of high grade brushed stainless steel and offered in three gorgeous colors – brushed grey, brushed charcoal or brushed rose gold. Weighing less than eight ounces, the charger comes equipped with a powerful 6000 mAh battery, 5V/1A input and output, USB cable and wall adapter. Through in-house testing, the iNPOFi wireless charger reportedly outperformed its competitors using QI or PMA wireless technology by a significant margin, with zero radiation, no to very little heat emission and rated at greater than 90 percent power transfer efficiency, allowing your iPhone to get charged very quickly.
Once all four indicators are lit at charger's base, the battery is fully charged, with each indicator representing 25 percent. The next step is to plug in the iPhone into the charging case, place it atop the wireless charger and voila!; it starts charging instantaneously and yes, very quickly, without the hassle of connecting or removing a USB cable and regardless of positioning onto the charger. Did I mention because it’s wireless, it’s environmentally friendly? Furthermore, with no or little heat emission, the charging system coupled with the case will improve battery life versus the conventional method. According to Kirk H&J, the 6000 mAh battery is expected to last about 1000 charge cycles. After turning off the power button, the device is capable of charging an iPhone up to four times. The Mobile Wireless Charger is also available with an 8000 mAh battery.
In short, the iNPOFi Mobile Wireless Charger and Wireless Charging Case is what the good people at MacLife would describe as "freaking awesome"and easily gets five stars for this review. But don’t take my word for it. Last year Kirk H&J won a Retailer’s Hot Picks award from the Photo Marketing Association at the CES in Las Vegas for their wireless charging devices. And this year, the company was named a 2014 CES Best of Innovations honoree in the Portable Power product category for its iNPOFi Foldable Wireless Charger. Yes that's correct, a foldable wireless charger.
You can see the iNPOFi Mobile Wireless Charger and Wireless Charging Case at MacWorld/iWorld at booth #439, Moscone North. Jolene Aramaki, Assistant Director of Sales and Marketing for Kirk H&J said the Foldable Wireless Charger is not yet in production but a prototype of the company's latest innovation – a universal stick-on mat that attaches to the back of a smartphone may be available for a demonstration during the show.
