If you love to laugh, then you have to see 3 Woman 1 Woman Show. The comedic performance opened last night at Works/San Jose. More chairs had to be added to accomodate the crowd coming into the limited-seating space. The show kept everyone laughing, and there was many a sore face from laughing so much. Maren Lovgren, Kristin Schmitz, and Hayley Lovgren are all extremely talented actresses who showed their immense skills not only in comedy, but also in writing, dance, accents, creative movement, and all around stage-presence. These three women have it all, and it's a treat to watch them. The sketch comedy show contained many hilarious sketches. My personal favorites were "Race to the Top of the Elliptical," "Act Like Trees," "Diet Dance," "The Girl Scout" and "Exercise Your Rights." These sketches are beyond funny!
The audience was also given the treat of enjoying three opening acts: "The Schmitz Sisters" (who wonderfully entertained with tap dance, singing, and playing instruments), "Dance Dance Revolutionary" (performed by the talented Lauren Baines who also helped with choreography for the show), and the lovely Molly Murphy of Dream House (who performed songs written by her and her band, Dream House).
