The festival with soul is back!

The Capital Jazz Festival, now in its 22nd year, kicks off tonight at Merriweather Post Pavilion. Running Friday June 6, thru Sunday June 8th, the event will feature over 30 contemporary, classic and alternative soul performances on two stages. R&B Legend Erykah Badu and recording start John Legend open with the Friday Night Soul Concert, which will feature a special tribute to George Duke.

2014 performance lineup includes Kem, Chaka Khan, Incognito, The O'Jays, Rachelle Ferrell, Faith Evans, and many more, including a special showcase of up-and-coming jazz and soul music artists.
