If you’re an Emmy nominee you get all kinds of goodies galore when you are invited to a gifting suite sponsored by GBK. They give great party and great gifts. No matter how old or how seasoned your acting career, going to a gifting event is like being a kid in a candy store and everything is for free!
For every red carpet event, GBK seems to steal the show with their pre-event extravaganza.
Held at the W Hotel in the heart of Hollywood, on Hollywood Boulevard, near Vine, the event was a hit for all. Especially those of us who have a sweet tooth. One of the fav’s were:
If you’ve ever watched the show “Shark Tank,” the family-owned company has been satisfying the cookie monster in all of its customers with their tasty cookies for 30 years. With over 30 taste concoctions, the assortment of sweet delights are made fresh everyday. Their famous retail stores are in Indiana and Florida, and now can be shipped to your cookie jar from their website online.
2.Lovely Candy Co.
Another fav is the guilt-free chewy candies made without gluten, GMOs, soy, corn and artificial coloring, the consciously crafted snacks. You can choose from caramel, cherry licorice and more special flavors. What started out as the quest for a healthy licorice candy by the owner who had a yen one night in their home city of Chicago, became a yummy selection of flavorful delights that won’t add inches to your wasteline. The best part is that they take time to chew, so you won’t be tempted to overdose.
3.The Artisan Group
The absolute BEST was the assemblage of little gems from Artisan Group who gifted all with a creative collection of jewelry, home products and other items from a variety of designers across the country. All of these special designs are actually hand made including Sarah Jester’s inspiring jewelry, Loud Waterfall Photography and Shan Bushong’s gifts for pets and pet lovers. This ensemble of simple treasures included the most unique gifts of the event.
Stars including Friends Matt LeBlanc, Mad Men’s Lindsay Cardellini and Modern Family’s Ed O’Neill attended the GBK’s annual pre-Emmy gifting lounge on Friday, September 20 at the W Hotel to pick up free gifts handed out by food, clothing and nonprofit company owners and representatives.
Parks and Recreation actor Jim O’Heir said he enjoyed being a guest at the event. Sex and the City’s Willie Garson also said he liked getting to know the vendors at GBK’s party.
“Who doesn’t like getting amazing free things?” O’Heir said.
“It’s wonderful to see all these new, innovative products that a lot of us wouldn’t normally come into contact with,” Garson said.
"It was truly a fun-filled day of gifting, celebrating and fundraising." Host Neil Patrick Harris
Charities highlighted at the event include the GUARDaHEART Foundation, Lambda Legal, The Creative Coalition and spcaLA.
