This is a review of a 1998 Toyota Corolla. These Corollas are know for there reliability and resale value. They come with two types of transmissions one can choose from. A automatic and manual. The transmission type that's most popular is the automatic. The reason is because it allows for a smoother ride and it's more family friendly. Meanwhile the manual transmission is better on gas but both vehicles definitively have there benefits.
Some of the benefits of this vehicle is it's price. When it first came out the MSRP was an affordable 11,908. If you couldn't afford the price Toyota Financial or another local lender would eagerly assist you in the financing because of the reliability factor. A few more benefits are as follows, the miles-per-gallon and re-sale value. It's a gas conscious automobile getting approx. 23mpg city and 28highway.
There aren't many cons to this vehicle but one that sticks out in my mind is the body rust. The body rust on these vehicles especially in wet or cold parts of the country is a big problem. Unfortunately these vehicles were built with sub-standard metal which allows for easy rusting and or rotting. The problem areas are the rear-wheel wheels and in-between door panels.
To sum things up the pros definitely out-weigh the cons and if your looking for quality and affordable transportation I highly recommend this automobile for either a single individual or small family.
