Anyone who claims you can't get good seafood in the greater Phoenix area hasn't been to Oscar's Pier 83 in Glendale. Owner "Captain" Ron Skehan has been serving homemade dishes for over six years, and this local gem holds its own when measured up with seafood served seaside in places like San Diego or Seattle.
The menu features all the traditional favorites one expects from a seafood restaurant, and Skehan has tweaked the menu over the years. The original menu started with fish and chips and has grown to include sandwiches, combo meals, broiled fish, salads, Baja style fish tacos and burritos, and chicken or burgers for land lovers.

Sandwiches are served on freshly baked homemade bread; the cole slaw -- some of the best in the area -- is also made on the premises, and is served as a generous portion.
In addition to tartar sauce and cocktail sauce, there's a homemade chipotle sauce that is great on the fried clams and shrimp. Try it on the calamari, too!
Fish-n-chips is traditional with cod, but at Oscar's you can choose your fish. Catfish, haddock, mahi-mahi, tilapia, salmon or calamari strips can be substituted. They come with fries and cole slaw, and you can choose a one, two or three piece fish-n-chips meal.
